My tongue drops
Burning, caustic words
That eat a hole through the toughest exterior.
They seep into your skin, eating away at every fiber of your being,
Leaving nothing behind
But the raw meat of your sorry soul.

Leaving nothing behind
But the raw meat of your sorry soul.
